Once on the island you'll see a bit of the island on your drive to the cottage, passing through some of the most beautiful and spectacular scenery it has to offer.
Here's a map showing the route and turnings (click on it for an interactive version) and below it is pictorial guide to the journey.
Turn left when you get off the ferry and keep going.
| A couple of miles out of Craignure you pass through the village of Loch Don. |
![]() | At the highest point of the glen road, look to your left and you'll see the "three lochs." Actually there's only two in this picture, the nearest, Loch an Eilein is almost split in two by spit of land. The furthest is away is called Loch Airdeglais and through the gap in the hils behind it is Loch Buie. |
![]() | As you emerge from Glen More you get your first glimpse of Loch Scridain, one of the loviliest views on the island and your destination on the headland on the right. |
![]() | At the bottom of the glen turn right at this fine example of how sensitively the council intergrates it's signage and bus shelters into the landscape. |
![]() | You're nearly there! Turn left at the old church. |
![]() | Just keep going until you get to the Steadings. |
