Dining, cooking and relaxing.

The entrance to the cottage is from the private terrace into the open-plan dining room with a very-well equipped kitchen at the end. The dining room has a six foot long dining table, upholstered chairs and a wood burning stove, making it a very comfortable room in which to linger over meals.

The kitchen has electric and microwave cookers, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, fridge freezer.

Off the kitchen there is a small cloakroom area for coats and boots and a separate shower room with shower, toilet and wash basin, heated towel rail and electric wall heater.

An archway leads through to an attractive and cosy sitting room with satellite television, DVD player and plenty of books.

There is ample car parking space. Wide steps lead down to the small private garden overlooking the burn. A table and benches allow for outside eating. On sunny days the garden is a wonderful sun-trap Red deer can often be seen browsing on the hillside. Sit on the patio and listen to the music of the burn as it makes its way down to the Loch. Make your way through the 15 acre field to the private shore and see the burn cascade down a 15’ waterfall before joining the Loch. You may see otters hunting on the shore line or eating their catch on the rocks. Seals from the colony across the Loch often come over for an inquisitive look.

The Steadings was part of the Tiroran House Estate which my husband and I owned for 20 years. I have now turned The Steadings into my home. The Cottage though part of the building is secluded and very private. Backed by hills and forest, The Steadings’ position on the Ardmeanach peninsula allows immediate access to some of Mull’s wildest and most splendid scenery with a wealth of attractive flora and fascinating geological structures. Without getting in your car, you can set off on day-long walks.
