Exploring the island

Tiroran might be a little out of the way but being equidistance from Tobermory and Fionnphort, it's ideally placed for exploring Mull and the adjacent islands. Whether you just want to wander down to the beach, just a couple of minutes walk through the grounds or spend the day walking out to the fossil tree, you'll find plenty to do without even getting into your car (for larger versions of these images and more please visit our photo album).

If you want to go a little further afield, the foot of Ben Mor, Carsaig with it's views fossils and arches, are close by. Trips to Staffa, the Trishnish Isles and whale watching are available most of the year, as well as many guided tours of the island's wildlife.
